Biography Portrait, lifestyle and wedding photographer. Founder of The Photograph Room
Having always felt connected to photography I feel very lucky to have turned a passion into my every day life. After studying photography at London College of Communication I moved to Paris where I lived for four years. I worked for the company Better Travel Photos were I led photo tours and created portraits in the streets of Paris. After I left Paris I continued to explore portraiture in the same manner, capturing more candid moments of people in their real environment. I have found that I particularly love working with children, photographing them in their day to day reality.
I photographed my first wedding In April 2013, which was both a terrifying and thrilling experience. With my knowledge of street photography whilst working in Paris I had developed more of a photojournalistic style, working in an unobtrusive manner, never stopping people and asking them to pose but anticipating a photograph and capturing those fleeting & spontaneous moments which really create a story of a wedding day from start to finish. In 2014 I moved back to England and I now work all over the U.K. However I am often found in the north of England where I grew up and I am most happy and inspired surrounded by the wonderful hills of the Lake District. During the spring of 2020 I launched a new venture called The Photograph Room which is an online gallery selling limited edition prints created by photographers working today. The aim is to work collaboratively with some of today's most exciting image makers curating online exhibitions as well celebrating & promoting photography as an art form.
